Beaver Lake and a little (lot) of raking
My aunt and grandma arrived today (thank you, Asheville airport, for being early…yet again!) After lunch, my aunt decided to nap (smart lady) while the rest of us rode over to Beaver Lake to take a walk.
It was a beautiful day! We took a lot of photos that I have to share.
My husband found a gigantic leaf. He even brought it home.
Side story: On our way from the airport, my dad said, “hey ma, are you ready to rake some leaves?” She said, “Yes, give me a rake.” And paused for a few seconds and said, “oh, Linda. I should have brought my rake.” Um. I don’t think TSA would have allowed that on the airplane. She then started discussing “good” rakes with me.
So when we got back to the house from Beaver Lake, my dad started raking the back yard. My grandma eventually asked where everyone was (I was in the neighborhood looking for my mom.) My stepmom told grandma that everyone was out back raking, and grandma replied, “well, why didn’t the tell me?”
My grandma then insisted on raking. And then she argued with me when I tried to get her to come inside. Of course I took photos.
And one more side note. My dad and I were out and I found an alien costume for Chloe! It was actually for a small dog, but I got it for $3. She loved absolutely hated it.
