The beginning of the Hawaii photos
Day one of our vacation (our first full day, not the few hours we were there Wednesday evening before crashing in our hotel rooms) involved mainly relaxing. We wanted to see the resort and have time to hang out, in case major jet lag set in. I was fine, however the rest of our party had difficulty sleeping the first night.
I woke up every morning to run, and I managed to capture this rainbow on our first morning:
And when it rains in Honolulu, you can look the other direction and see something like this:
Seriously. It would start raining with no warning or clouds (though that morning, there were some clouds. They cleared quickly.)
We wandered out of the resort for lunch and hit up Don Ho’s restaurant.
I also got a good view of this tower outside the restaurant:
I think that was also the day we did some driving around the city and ended up in the national cemetary. This was the view from the top of a walkway – Jason and I ventured up, while the others waited in the car (escaping the rain.)
I’ll keep this post to five photos, so I won’t overwhelm you. I also need to get my photos in order and remember everything we did! Thankfully, most of it is written down….
wow how beautiful…what a great start to the trip! Rainbows are awesome!
Just beautiful!!
