The Best Steak You Can Make
While I’ve never truly been a steak person, that was before I had the best steak ever. In my own home. In fact, the meat was delivered to my house. Read on to see how you can also have the best steak – and save on meat delivered to your doorstep.
The following is a sponsored post. All opinions are my own.
I have never been a steak person. Until now.
I started ordering groceries a few years before March 2020 hit. It is convenient, has actually saved me money, and I love having that time freed up. When shortages of meat starting taking place, I began looking into more companies that would deliver meat. Last week, I received an order from Snake River Farms and it definitely won’t be my last delivery.

When my brother first saw my Instagram story sharing the meat had arrived, he was questioning how I was going to cook everything. In the end, I let him prepared the meat and I made sides for our dinner.

That evening, we went with a New York Strip steak and a tenderloin. The meat was seared briefly before being cooked sous vide, transferred back to a cast iron skillet and then to our plates. Garlic cloves and herbs were really the only things used to season the meat. Basically he prepared the best steak – and I haven’t stopped thinking about dinner since then.
(For sides, I prepared salt potatoes with plenty of melted butter to go around and Brussels sprouts with bacon.)
The meat was extremely tender and delicious. My kids can’t normally eat steak (it’s oftentimes too tough for them to chew) and this was completely kid-friendly.
Snake River Farms started in Idaho and they offer a selection of American Wagyu beef and Kurobuta pork to be delivered to your home. You can order a subscription – or specific cuts of meat.
Snake River Farms American Wagyu Beef does cost a little more than your average grocery store meats, but you are getting high quality meat and cuts. We received filet mignon that I intend to make one evening for my husband and me, and it’ll probably be a date night in.
When you order from Snake River Farms, you can select the date that works for your schedule (up to a month in advance.) The products are packed in ice, and I had no problems with anything thawing before I got home – and we were experiencing unusually warm weather the day my box was delivered.
They offer such a variety of meat and if you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know that I love a good meal plan. We have ground beef I intend to use for hamburgers. I also received Steakhouse Beef Petite Tenders that are already marinated – so they are truly ready to cook.
Snake River Farms offers subscription boxes! You can get an all beef box, a beef and pork box or a dry-aged subscription. Select a small or large box, and your frequency can be once a month or every three months. If you have freezer space, a subscription box can be such a smart idea to stock up on meat!
