a better day
It’s been a rough few days in our household. Lucas has been crying in pain and while we attributed the pain to his “procedure” last week, by the weekend we couldn’t really blame that. It took me until yesterday to put two and two together – that my diet is definitely causing our baby agonizing pain.
Sometime mid-week last week, I picked up my milk habit again. We’d been eating macaroni and cheese nearly every day, so I didn’t think that milk was a problem for Lucas. Apparently, that much milk is a problem. (Or so we think. We have another pediatrician visit this week and we’ll see if she thinks it is something different.)
Of course, I had my morning chocolate milk and lunch of macaroni and cheese before I considered the milk theory yesterday. Needless to say, both of us were in tears by the time dad got home from work.
Today has had it’s ups and downs – whatever it is clearly hasn’t exited our systems – but at least Lucas has slept. And that means I slept this morning, and had some downtime this afternoon to rest (even if I didn’t sleep.)

Tomorrow I regain my walking privileges and on Thursday, I can drive again. We will likely have a better ending to our week, which I’m so grateful for. I’m sure Lucas will be grateful too. He’s a big fan of the outdoors already and I know he’s probably bored out of his mind being stuck inside with me all day.
he is seriously adorable! i wonder what he is thinking with that little expression?
hope the reduced milk diet helps you both!
Oh…and HAPPY WALKING DAY!!!
