Better late than never
Let’s go back to my birthday weekend. It was such a great weekend, that I’d hate not to blog about it at all š
That Friday, I had the day off. I had lots of friends coming into town for our high school reunion, and I spent most of the day lounging. That evening, Cynthia, Kenny, Jordan and I headed to the football game. Erwin was playing…someone. I can’t even remember who they played, and it was homecoming. Saw lots of people – Stephanie was even there, which rocked. I felt like my best friends in the world were all in town to help me celebrate š After the third quarter, we left and headed downtown, but ended up at Chili’s for drinks. One of my college friends was just getting off work at Chili’s and ended up buying me a drink. I won’t mention what it was because I know some of the people that read this blog! Let’s just say that I was pretty numb after that. (Pictures to come this weekend – I promise! My camera is still hooked up to the laptop and everything!)
Saturday, the actual birthday, started with very cool phone calls. I went running that morning too. I felt very ambitious, turning 28 and all! My friend Cat sang happy birthday on my cell phone and I’m now looking for a way to turn that into a ringtone – it was awesome! Saturday night was the high school reunion (again, photos are on the laptop, they just have to be uploaded.) Soooo many of my friends were there, and I’m so happy I went. Missy was there, along with Stephanie, Cynthia and lots of others. But, they were my closest friends in high school. It would have been perfect if April had been there, but she wasn’t able to come. š
We made a Shoney’s stop before the reunion – had to get the free cake – and at the reunion, Kenny danced to Thriller, which really got the evening rolling. You can only imagine…
okay, move to the following weekend – October 14. Jen (from college) came to visit! We ended up at Mars Hill’s homecoming, where we ran into my brother, Heather, and lots of really cool MHC people. It was soooo fun!
This weekend? Kenny and I are thinking of hiking tomorrow. Nothing really planned. It’s kind of weird. But, I think it’ll be fun.
Was the drink by any chance a creamsicle? Ha!
