Last weekend, we were in town, family had just left and our out of town friends had also left town. It was a fun-filled weekend, but we needed some family-downtime, just the three of us. So we took off to the Biltmore Estate to check out the gardens. (Not going to lie. I was also hoping that my 3-year-old would also walk/run enough energy off that he’d take a long nap that afternoon.)

The tulips were in bloom and tulips are my favorite flower by far. I’m not sure if they’re still in bloom. The ones in my yard are looking a little weak, but I have a feeling Biltmore has better gardeners than my house.

We walked alllll throughout the gardens.

Then we walked down to the bass pond and explored the waterfall, which was fun.

The longest part was walking back up the hill to our car. When the boy requested to be carried, I knew we did things right. He totally took a long nap that afternoon.

Check out their bloom report to see what’s out right now.
