birthday cards

On Sunday night, I set out to make my husband a birthday card. I first came up with this one:

And then decided it was a little too plain. Maybe this one is a little too girly, but I put a lot more thought and time into creating it:

I got the inspiration for the second one from a Stampin’ Up book. (The inspiration was the layered and off-centered paper.) The stamps are from Stampin Up! and I mixed and matched several sets.

birthday cards

September is a big month in my family. On both sides, there are several birthdays. And since I have so many scrapbooking tools, stamps and card making materials, I must get my money’s worth. That, and I’m a little lazy to buy cards and I often spend hours looking over cards and not find something that I just *love*.

So I started making ALL of the birthday cards we had to send out this month. We’ve got:
My grandpa
My mom
My brother
My aunt
My stepmom
Brandon
Betsey

And that’s just September. My family was equally busy in October, and I have several Libra friends whose birthdays are coming up soon. I’ve been busy!

(Yes, I know I’ve left some friends off this list – I have a lot of September birthdays to remember!)

So here’s where I need your help. Friends, family (sorry, strangers. I don’t know you – you don’t get cards)…Post or email me with your birthday. I must have it for my Real Simple address book that I finished filling out last week.

Have I mentioned that Kenny’s coming home late tomorrow night? So far this week, I’ve managed to make several cards, clean our kitchen (it’s awesome), clean the living room, make dinner (yes, this is a chore), do laundry, work a few extra hours at the office and even get in some reading at night. Oh, I’ve also managed to keep up with my tv schedule. Insanity. And pandemonium at the (gas) pump. It’s keeping me in at night, and with nowhere to go, I must do something.

So on with the birthdays. Post ’em. I know you’ve got one.
