brief update

Just a brief update. I went to see Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers last night, and it was one of the best shows I’ve seen this year. Right up there with Matt Nathanson, and that’s difficult to do, in my book. Overall, a phenomenal show. Photos are up at take5online.com/music. I’ll post some here tomorrow.

Didn’t get home til after midnight, in bed just before 1, and up again at 4:45. I’m exhausted. I just went to a goodbye gathering for our HR director, and wasn’t anticipating staying that long (hour and a half). I’m finally home and heading to bed.

We have our half marathon tomorrow. Think good, fast thoughts. We need them. Race starts at 8.

I attended the 18th annual Warren Haynes Christmas Jam last night. I’ve attended six now and I think last night beat out every other year. A summary of events:
I was hit on by many, many musicians.
I interviewed Dave Matthews (it lasted about 5 minutes).
I met Taylor Hicks (one of the highlights of my night).
The final song, in which all of the remaining musicians covered a Bob Dylan song, was simply amazing.

I went to bed a little after 5 this morning, and still woke up by 10:15. I’m heading to bed now to watch Must Love Dogs and to fall asleep. I’ll update, I promise, with more on the Jam. It blew me away 🙂
