Calm?

Remember when I said I woke up and there was nothing in my calendar? I was right. It didn’t take long, though, for my day to fill up.

I quickly realized that I needed to get packing paper, so that was a trip to our printing facilities on the west side of town. (Ever looking to move? Check with your local newspaper – see how much it costs you to buy the end rolls of news print…the paper before it’s printed on. It’s super cheap – and you get a lot more than a packing company will give you!) The woman who helped me recognized me from the blog. Yes. My work blog entry today was about Miley Cyrus not being dead. A shining moment for me…And that’s the second time in 3 days someone has recognized me from the blog. Maybe I should go for a new look.

Jason emailed me today. He needed a few random items, including mugs for him and his roommate, so I went in search of the best. travel. mugs. ever. The husband has one (and at a price or $19.99, it must be good.) He never spills coffee on himself, which is important for a teacher…and someone in the Army. And, I’ll get my brother and his roomie the best (hey, Jason. You should forward this to your new roommate. Now that I know his name, I’m going to start blogging about him!) So after hitting the west side of town, it was back to east Asheville to hit up Bed, Bath & Beyond for the mugs.

And then back west to the post office, to pick up boxes to mail all this stuff to Jason. Maybe I should have planned my trips a little better, but I didn’t know about the paper trip until 20 minutes before I had to be over there. Dumb me.

I even went running today – and walked the dogs. I’ve managed to lose 4.5 pounds since last week, and I’m pretty close to pre-wedding weight. The exercise has definitely helped. My eating has been in check, and I’m feeling great. I’ve signed up for a couple of 2009 marathons, so I need to be in the best shape I can be.

My relaxing night landed me at work, transcribing an interview. Thought I could do it at home, but the audio file was corrupt. An hour later, I was back home and watching Gossip Girl. Now it’s 9:15 and I’m thinking of watching Jon & Kate Plus 8.

Oh, and I’m designing a new website – for myself! This one will be mostly my work stuff. Crafts, maybe, but mostly my work. It’s been fun. I can’t wait to start showing it off. Maybe later this week 🙂
