car-buying process

We did it. We finally bought a new car. Actually, I should say, we’ve reserved the car and should be picking it up in the next six days.

My husband’s 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix is finally being put to rest, and we’ve been searching for it’s replacement for almost two months. About 7 weeks ago, we set out in search of the right vehicle and after visiting six dealerships in one afternoon, his heart was set on the Honda Fit Sport.

He test drove one while I was in Philadelphia (some of our friends went along for the ride) but by the time I returned, the car was gone. We headed to a second dealership and literally watched the car drive off the lot with it’s new owner.

And finally a dealership told us they had access to this particular car on other lots and could get us whatever we wanted. I did a few car insurance quotes to see how much it would cost for me to insure the car and it made me really want to buy it! My friend told me that car insurance prices vary depending on where you live, for example chicago insurance might be cheaper than car insurance in New York but luckily I got a cheap quote.

After several phone calls between Monday and Tuesday, and one VERY hateful call from yours truly, we received two cars to compare and choose from (if we thought we would want either one.)

Husband decided that this is the one he really wanted:

We’re 99% sure this is the exact car (because I can’t open up the original photos from this computer.) Since it’s coming from another city, I did a search in that area, and this car is exactly 2 miles off of the mileage and every other feature is the same. It is great to be able to purchase a new car, you may want to have a look at a hire purchase agreement online before choosing a car and see whether this will help make your decision easier, and like that you may be able to get a great car just like me and my husband! Cars can be pretty expensive after all! It might also be worth checking out car title loans jacksonville to learn more about what’s involved in title loans.

All it took was a stern talking-to from me, for those car salesman to listen. When I met the guy I yelled at in person, I told him I was half-sorry for yelling. I also explained that they weren’t listening or helping me. He was ok with it, and I think he may have been somewhat amused.

Sometime in the next week we’ll say “so long” to the Pontiac and hello to the reliable one-year-old Honda. I can’t wait!
