We’re officially on a Cars kick in our house. My husband took our son to see Cars 3 on Thursday night, and not only was it a packed theater, but our son had the best time and became obsessed with the movie. While I didn’t get to see the movie, I was able to hear many details from an excited 5-year-old at lunch on Friday. And we looked at all of the new Cars toys at the store that afternoon. It’s going to be a while before we move on from the movie (and I know it will make it into our movie collection when it’s released.)
My boy is also obsessed with snacks, and this Cars 3 snack mix is a fun treat for a Saturday afternoon, a play date or a Cars-themed party! (My son has his head set on a different party theme later this summer, but I’m pushing hard for a Cars 3 party theme!) I love the Cars Goldfish that are in stores for a limited time – and using the mini Oreos for wheels! And I’m also a fan of sweet and salty.
Yields: 6 cups
INGREDIENTS
2 cups Cars goldfish crackers
1 cup red and yellow M&M candy
1 cup mini Oreos (for wheels!)
DIRECTIONS
Combine your savory snacks (goldfish crackers and Oreos) with the red and yellow M&M candies in a large mixing bowl and gently toss.
Transfer to your serving bowl(s) and ENJOY!
Have you seen Cars 3 yet?

That is such a fun snack idea. My boys loved the Cars movies when they were little. I will be going to see the new one solo, but I am so excited to see it.

That little Oreos are so cute! OK, why do I think I’m going to make an Oreo run today? 🙂

Awesome idea. My kids are all grown ups and we still love goldfish crackers in our house. The cars shaped crackers are really cute. I bet these ones will be picked first. Thanks for the snack suggestion!
