It’s Valen-tastic with a $100 Amazon gift card giveaway! #giveaway #ValentinesDay
We’re two weeks from Valentine’s Day! Do you have plans?
Back in college, I remember dreading Valentine’s Day – going as far as planning anti-Valentine’s Day activities for my residents (I was a RA and then a RD for my dorm.) My senior year, I had a boyfriend, but I still felt like I missed out on a lot with my friends.
Fast forward a few years, and one of my favorite gifts EVER on Valentine’s Day is a journal/book my now-husband wrote for me. It was all about us, and we had only been dating about 5 months. I actually came across the book this past weekend and it’s so fun to look back on. I also can’t forget the mixed CD he made me. I love that CD.
I try to make an extra effort to make the holiday fun for my husband, family and friends. We like to buy our son small treats and my husband and I try to get out for a date night during the week of Valentine’s Day. We aren’t fans of big crowds – and I’ll never forget the year we went to Olive Garden at 4:30 p.m. just to avoid the rush.
Over the past few years, I’ve made fun treats for my son’s daycare group – and this year I have something fun in mind for his preschool class. (Details on that project coming this week, just in case you’re looking for Valentine treats to make this weekend!)
For Valentine’s Day ideas, check out the Clifford cookies I made two years ago, the flowers we did last year, the pink cookies I made a couple of years ago.
If I don’t make something fun for my husband, I try to be sure that I’m giving him something he’s going to love, whether it’s a movie or music or a book that he really wants.
Which brings me to today’s giveaway. Susanna, Karen, Jen and I are giving away $100 to spend on Amazon – just in time for Valentine’s Day! If you have Amazon Prime, you should even be able to receive your items by the big day. The giveaway will end early next Tuesday, with the winner being contacted on Tuesday (and given 24 hours to respond.)
What do you want on Amazon? (Me…I’d pre-order as many books as possible. I’m obsessed with my Kindle lately.)
Your ideas are always so cute! We never do anything for Valentine’s Day, because our anniversary is just a few weeks earlier.
We’re like this in October with my birthday and our wedding anniversary. All of these celebrations!!
I would get a new pair of running shoes.
Yay! You guys do the best giveaways! Thanks! I would buy a new pair of running shoes too š
What a great way to share the love!
Awesome, thank you so much!!!
I already bought the V-Day gift, but his birthday is in March, so this could be helpful! š
How fun! We keep Valentine’s Day pretty simple and, before kids, used to go to the gym! First non-crowded day of the new year and good for our hearts. Yep, we’re cheesy like that. š If I won, I’d purchase a few items off our wish list for the house.
Great giveaway, thanks!
