change of Bele Chere plans
At 36 weeks pregnant, my plans are finally being affected by pregnancy. Thankfully, it took 36 weeks and I only have a few more weeks of “inconvenience”, and then people can stop freaking out over me (and they can freak out over a baby.) I use the term “inconvenience” loosely. I’m not freaked out and I think I could totally handle huge crowds and the heat. All on my own, even.
I had lots of plans for this weekend that involved Bele Chere. Unfortunately, the ones for tonight fell through. The husband wasn’t a fan of me venturing downtown by myself (and 100,000 other people) and my mom also didn’t think it was a great idea. I thought I could meet up with a friend who was in town for Bele Chere, but things just didn’t work out.
So instead I braved the heat and hung out with our neighbors for the evening, which was fun…..but it wasn’t Marc Broussard.
Tomorrow, I am going to see Stephen Kellogg play at Bele Chere. If I don’t have a friend to accompany me, I’m still going. Even the heat isn’t going to stop me.
Tomorrow it’s me against the street festival. I’m ready. I hope everyone else is too.
enjoy! (and hydrate – even if it means camping out by the bathrooms)
