checking another project off the list
I’m pleased to announce that our ceiling fan has been installed! It took the husband and I eleven hours to screw things up, and the electrician 35 minutes to get the thing installed and running. Score one for him.
Now we have a beautiful $200 fan.
(the fan cost us $125. we paid $75 for it to be installed.)
We are hiring a neighborhood kid to do some of the yard work for us this summer – not every week, but just a few times to help him earn some extra money, and to help us when we’re completely pressed for time. Tonight he came over to help with the weed eating. I’m hoping that the next time is better – we’re still in a training phase, it seems.
Oh and we have someone coming Wednesday to check out our furnace. Awesome. It makes this great banging noise every time the blower shuts off (it’s connected to the central air system.) Every time I think we’re improving our house, we manage to find one thing that HAS to be done in order to protect the home.
At least we have the ceiling fan, right?
looks great…finally š
Enjoy this completed project!!! I know we couldn’t be without ours…
That’s exactly how it goes; fix one thing and the next thing breaks. Ah, the joys of home ownership!
I like the fan!
