Make your own Cherry Citrus Sangria this summer

Years ago, my husband and I attended a neighbor’s party and they served sangria. I remember trying to copy the recipe the following week (and the week after that.) When we go out, we occasionally order sangria if it’s on the drink menu, but it can be pricey for something that’s fairly simple to create. (Also, it’s not the same buying it at a restaurant, compared to making and enjoying your own batch.) But this recipe? This Cherry Citrus Sangria may just be the ticket to getting us through the rest of the summer. Cherries have been plentiful lately, so it’s pretty perfect for summertime.  Cherry Citrus Sangria recipe

It just so happens that my husband loves cherries, and I love citrus. The Cherry Citrus Sangria is the perfect combo for us, and sangria happens to be so easy to pull together! I think since it has so much fruit, it can be considered healthy. (Let’s just believe that for now, ok?)

  1. I am having some friends over tonight, and I’m definitely going to serve this! I’ll let you know how it goes.

    1. My girlfriends and I had this last night and it was great! Not too sweet and really refreshing. And eating the boozy fruit was the best part. I did substitute gin for the vodka since that was what I had on hand.
