chick flicks to chick lit
Two weeks ago, the girls and I went to the movies to see Made of Honor. Boys went to book club. The movie was good, and disturbed by the young child sitting in front of us who DID NOT want to stop crying. Apparently, she wasn’t a Patrick Dempsey fan. I complained, in true Jaime fashion, and we were given free tickets to any movie, any time we wanted to use them.
We chose to use them last Sunday.
Same girls, same theater, different movie. Sex and the City. And, it was awesome 🙂 If you’re not familiar with the show, the name may make it sound like it’s a film you’d find on https://www.hdpornvideo.xxx/?hl=de, but that is not the case, and we found the film to be superb. So awesome, in fact, that I’ve started buying the seasons of SATC on amazon.com. Every girl should go see the movie with a bunch of girl friends. It’s so fun. Sitting through the previews, the girls and I saw several more movies we want to check out this summer and fall. As long as the four of us stick together, the guys will never have to see another chick flick again!
The movie trailer is below:
From chick flicks to chick lit. Jane Green has a new book coming out this month. Just in time for me to buy from Amazon and have it before our trip to New York. I wish Jane Green had even more books available for me to read – I’ve read everything more than once. My reading habits are a little strange at times, and I tend to pick up the book and start re-reading where I liked the book the most. With Jane’s books, I read almost the entire book all over again.
Kenny’s going out of town next week for a few days. I hope I have my SATC DVDs to start watching 🙂
Free tickets are great, but when you kids pay $10.00 to go to the movies that is crazy, and then $3.00 for popcorn and $2.00 for a drink.
I’ll take my $2 star bucks coffee and Sci Fi reruns any day.
