Ah, yes. We’ve reached 2014 and I haven’t posted photos from Christmas with our families! We stayed home this year. We had traveled so much in November and December and were very happy when my sister-in-law mentioned everyone coming up to Asheville. It meant one less trip for our two-year-old. (Honestly, I think he loved being able to play with all of his toys immediately, rather than waiting til we packed everything up and drove 6 hours to then open his boxes.)

It was a good day week. My brother flew into town the Sunday before Christmas, so was around for Christmas Eve service and dinner at my grandma’s following church. Lucas had a good time in church (on Sunday AND on Christmas Eve. Maybe that’s where he caught his nagging cough-turned-awful cold?) christmas2013_1 Lucas only went to daycare on Monday and part of Tuesday, and then only one day last week. I’m sort of ready for all of us to be back on our healthy, regular schedules. (Seriously. Sickness sucks.)

christmas2013_3 He had a good Christmas. He received the LeapFrog guitar from us (good ole mom and dad), play food for his kitchen (he lovessss it), cars and t-ball set from my brother, an easel from one grandma, a truck/car set from other grandparents, and then a train/track from grandparents (as well as a slew of other toys.) He even received a microphone. He really got into Christmas, but was so overwhelmed at one point and didn’t want to open any more gifts.

christmas2013_2 And with that, I hope you had a great Christmas (and New Year!) Christmas with a two-year-old was so much fun and I’m fairly certain that age three is going to take things to a whole new level of fun.
