Crockpot potpourri is an easy way to get your home ready for the holidays! The following is a sponsored post. As always, opinions are my own.Ā

I really do love this time of year and crockpot potpourri is such an easy thing to pull together when you’re at home. While I’m not always a fan of how busy we are during the holidays, I love the evenings and weekends we can be at home, and enjoy the decorations. I love sitting in the living room with just the Christmas tree lights turned on, and I really enjoy the festive scents of the season. When I smell cinnamon, cloves and oranges, I think of this time of the year.Ā

Well now I’ve got a Crockpot recipe to make your home smell festive all day long (and who’s to say this recipe can’t be used the rest of winter?) It’s time I make my slow cooker do a little more work for me, and this would be amazing to set the mood of a party or friend gathering in your home.

Crockpot potpourri is easy – especially if you have an extra slow cooker you aren’t using! I have this slow cooker and have used it for years.

What do you need for Christmas Crockpot Potpourri?

  • slow cooker
  • 6-8 cups water
  • 1/2 Tablespoon vanilla
  • 5-6 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 Tablespoon whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3-4 drops cinnamon essential oil
  • 2 oranges, sliced with peel on
  • 1 apple, sliced with peel on
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2/3 cup fresh cranberries
  • 2-3 fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 1-2 small pine cones or pine branches

How do you make Crockpot Potpourri?

Step one – Pour the water into a 5-6 quart crockpot.

Step two – Add the vanilla, cinnamon sticks, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon essential oil. Stir gently.

Step three – Add the orange slices, apple, lemon and cranberries. Place the rosemary sprigs and pine on top of the fruit.

Step four – Return the lid on the crockpot and heat on HIGH for 2 hours. After 2 hours, remove the lid and allow the amazing Christmas aroma fill your house. The water will begin to evaporate in a few hours so be sure to replenish.

Then enjoy! This is not a difficult “recipe” to make and is something you can enjoy all month long when you have the extra Crockpot space.
