Christmas tour
Stole this idea from Lynde. Here are a few photos of items around our living room and dining room. We didn’t get to go all out since the move less than three weeks ago, but I did my best.
The napkin holders were painted by my ceramics teacher, Marie, and I bought the napkins at K-Mart (50% off). I think they’re pretty wonderful.
I had two stockings and got a third at K-Mart (it’s close to our house and had GREAT Christmas stuff!) for about $1. I tied them to our banister with the blue ribbon:
The stereo cabinet became a card holder. I have an idea for next year that will allow for more display of the cards, but this worked for our first two weeks in the new home:
I painted this snowman. Note the photo of Jason’s unit hanging next to the snowman 🙂
The ginger basket I painted a few years ago (it has two inserts on it – one is fall leaves, the other is the gingerbread insert. I can use it longer this way!)
The gingerbread basket I painted. This is also on the stereo cabinet, with lots of Hershey goodness inside. I have six ornaments on our tree that match the gingerbread people on the basket. They are some of my favorite ornaments, and I think this basket is my favorite.
Our tree. Note the Santa bag in the bottom of the photo. I painted that too. It mainly serves as a candy cane holder:
I think that’s it for the decorations, besides the snowmen and gingerbread house I showed you a week or so ago. Next year, we’re going ALL OUT. It’s going to be wonderful 🙂
