Completed project: Cards. The mailing kind. #12projects12months

This is the fourth project in my project a month challenge (that I gave myself.) And this involves a couple of completed items. Cards.

I’m all about DIY wherever I can do it (within reason.) Creating DIY birthday cards or a DIY thank you card is something that is fairly attainable for me (and something I used to do more frequently.)

I caught the stamping bug again a few weeks ago. It may have been related to Project Life teaming up with Stampin’ Up. They’re both companies I adore. Whatever it was, it motivated me to drag out some stamps and make a card for my grandma. Her birthday was the weekend after Mother’s Day (whyyyy couldn’t I get my act together before Mother’s Day, I will never know.) Anyway.

That same weekend, I busted out another card for our daycare provider. It encompassed teacher appreciation, her birthday and Mother’s Day. Just a giant “thank you” card to show her that we really appreciate her.

I’m not able to find the direct links to the stamps (they may be retired), but I kept it simple, quick and got the job done. I’m happy with how they turned out, even if they aren’t the most extravagant cards in the world. They saved me $5 per card. 😉

(I’m also working on Father’s Day cards because I really want to make use of all of my supplies!)

This happens to be project 4 in my goal to complete 12 projects this year! See project 1 and project 2 and project 3 in previous posts.

  1. I should set myself a project goal. Clearly just thinking about and wanting to isn’t getting my butt in gear!

  2. My cousin makes cards that my mom always buys off her. They’re so creative and ever-so pretty. I wish I had the talent (and time) to do something like that.

  3. Those are beautiful cards. Very creative and talented. I would love to be able to be more crafty and creative. I am working on getting my house back in order after a major remodel. Almost done.
