Completed project: Dinosaur Train cloth book #12projects12months
I actually made three of these – and it was a project that I fit in wherever I could. (This is part of my #12Projects12Months project.)
Dinosaur Train soft book
I found the fabric in July and ordered three panels because the shipping for one was just outrageous (and I could justify it for three, if I made them and sold the other two at cost.)
For the cloth books, you cut the pieces/pages and match up with one piece of fusible interfacing, then sew the pages together and bind the book. The problem with the Dinosaur Train panels is that they were printed somewhat slanted – so nothing is completely lined up. It was frustrating when I look at the finished product. On the other hand, my son loves the book.
I will soon have two books on Etsy. If your child is a Dinosaur Train fan, I highly recommend one of these! My son loves the dinosaurs, and he enjoys counting every dinosaur.
This is the eighthĀ completed project in my quest to do 12 this year! Iām a little behind in posting, but I have been hard at work on several things! See project 1 | project 2 | project 3 | project 4 | project 5 | project 6 | project 7 in previous posts.
cheers for a completed project!!! wtg!!
I love this! (Especially the fact that this project is washable!) You’re doing great on your projects!
What an interesting project. I love that you created a personalized book for your son using images that he appreciates and loves. I do salute you on the educational aspect as well.
what acute book and educational to.
This is adorable! My son would love something like this, very original.
Wow! The dinosaur train book looks amazing! Congrats on selling on Etsy too! Great project š
Oh gosh, these are really cute. Homemade books are amazing. I wish I knew someone with a little boy who would need this.
I always liked the cloth books. The little ones can’t rip ’em and they can go right in the washing machine. š
Good for you for keeping up with your goals. I have faith you’ll make the next 4 leading up to the holidays!
My little sister loves cloth books! And yes the washable effects makes it all better considering the book won’t be legible anymore if it was made of paper and a writing instrument was involved.
I wish I knew how to do something like this. You did an amazing job. I’ll love to make this.
