cool air brings uneasiness
We broke down tonight.
It’s 80 degrees outside, raining, muggy and humid and the husband has been miserable. I think Chloe’s been miserable as well. Biting more than usual, not wanting to be held. Wait, she never wants to be held. Me? I was always told to suck it up. (Thanks, mom.) I could hold out until it was 85 outside.
I guess one of our downfalls with the house is that it is a split level, heat rises and we live upstairs. (I also ran into this downfall this past weekend when we found ourselves locked out and me climbing through a window on the second level.)
So it’s getting a little unbearable upstairs, and we turned on the air conditioning. I was hoping we could wait until next week, but we agreed that the cat was feeling the heat when we found her in a bookcase in one of the cooler areas in the house.
The big issue now is that the air conditioner (and furnace) is felt throughout the entire house. Not just the temperature, but you can feel it in the floors….especially since we don’t have carpet.
The cat won’t stop meowing.
Seriously. Just watch the video. Well, listen to it, at least. It’s very dark, but you can hear what we hear. Chloe’s very uneasy. And a little like her normal self. She often won’t shut up, but we had gotten used to the quiet house over the past couple of weeks.
I played your video this morning & Vena came in looking for the kitty. She was obviously concerned & did a little meowing herself about the situation…
