One of the fun features of our neighborhood is the corn maze in the fall – it’s within walking distance of our house. It’s pretty cool because starting in the spring, we can watch them getting the maze prepared for it’s opening in September. This was the third(?) year of the maze and we’ve gone each year it’s been open. We were really looking forward to taking Lucas this year – and even more next year when he’s old enough to play in the kid’s maze (which is made out of bales of hay).

This is a tree we pass on our walks (and on the way to the maze.) I love fall!

The “theme” this year was a pirate ship.

Lucas was sleeping peacefully in the Moby wrap (my favorite baby carrier EVER.)

That’s where we stopped taking photos. Once we completed the middle maze (about 1.3 miles), we called it quits. It was in the upper 70s, and Kenny and Lucas were sweating profusely. Next year, we’ll go on a cooler day.

There’s so much for children to do – slides and small mazes and a “sandbox” with corn kernels. I definitely can’t wait to go back next year!
