What is Craftsy?

This post may include affiliate links and I may earn commission if you make a purchase through these links.

Since this post was published, Craftsy changed names, almost went away and is back again! Craftsy is an online craft-teaching website. There are so many video classes you can check out on their site, and right now a year subscription is only $2.49.

It’s no secret that I think I’m a crafty girl. I enjoy sewing (I basically taught myself) and I enjoy crocheting, though I can only crochet a straight line. I paint ceramics, scrapbook and I just think crafts are super fun. There was a time that I was a little obsessed with cake decorating. (That lasted for about 6 months.)

I would love to learn how to knit. (Yep, it’s different than crocheting.) And I would love, love, love to learn how to quilt. I would even like to learn a little more about sewing. And this is why I turn to Craftsy.

Craftsy offers online classes – learn to sew, knit, crochet, or activities to do with your kids. It also has a patterns marketplace where independent designers can sell their patterns; a supplies shop with great deals on yarn, fabric, and class kits; and a projects section where members share pictures of their latest craft successes. With over two million members and counting, Craftsy has something for just about everyone, in categories ranging from quilting, sewing, knitting, painting, photography, cooking, and more.

Oh and a Craftsy subscription is only $2.49 right now for a YEAR. A year!! (I’m currently coveting their knitting classes. How fun would knitting be – especially this winter?)

What craft-like skill would you like to learn?

The above links are affiliate links. Opinions are my own.
