cranky kitty

Maybe it’s just me, but I think our cat might have sleep issues. Sure, she sleeps all. day. long. But when I get home from work (around 3 p.m.) she’s going until about 11:00. With no rest in between.

She’s the sweetest cat in the morning. Very loving, wants to be around you and wants attention (she’s one of the neediest cats I’ve ever met.) She’s the same way when I get home in the afternoon.

Her demeanor changes around 9:00 p.m. The other night I was laying on the floor, about a foot away from her bed in the living room, and she was on her bed. There was no movement. I don’t even think the TV was on. Out of the blue, she smacked my face. It made for a nice scratch across my chin. Last night, she was laying on the ottoman and as I walked by heading to the kitchen, she reached out and grabbed my leg with her paws. When we try to pet her, she attacks our hands. She’s the opposite of sweet after 9:00.

We’re learning more and more about Chloe every day. Most of Chloe’s traits are the opposite of what the foster person told us. She’s not really a lap cat and she can be a feisty one.

I just wonder if I can enforce a bed time for my cat. I think she needs it.

  1. She sounds like a normal cat to me!

When I was little we had a jet black cat named Midnight. And in the middle of the night, you couldnt see her in the dark. So if you had to make a late night trip to the bathroom, she would stalk you down the hall and tackle your feet.

What kind of toys do you have for her?
