Currently {December 2016}
This month has not been kind to my family, and we’re only one week in. I’m not going to get into everything because the list is long, but let’s focus on a few fun things I’m up to.
(I’m currently working hard to keep my baby out of the Christmas tree. Just a few more weeks of this battle.)
Currently….
Reading
I just finished Two By Two by Nicholas Sparks and it is SO GOOD. It took me a few late nights to get through the book, and I wouldn’t trade that time for all the sleep I’m missing at the moment. I highly recommend it.
Watching
Little by little I’m watching Gilmore Girls (Year in the Life). I started it the day after Thanksgiving and I just can’t binge watch it like I would have preferred. Hoping to finish it tonight or this weekend.
Shopping
For the kids! I’m trying not to go overboard, and let’s be honest…it’s hard shopping for Christmas presents for a baby. Especially a second-born. She’s getting all of the hand me down toys, and when I was walking around Target this week, I just had a hard time finding anything that she just had to have.
Oh, but I bought Christmas pajamas for the kids. They don’t match, but they’re both super cute. Hopefully I’ll take a picture of the two of them together so I can share the cuteness.
Listening
…to Straight No Chaser’s new Christmas album! December is basically all holiday music for me and their album “I’ll Have Another” is so good. I heard the song “Feels Like Christmas” a couple of weeks ago and bought the album on Amazon that night.
Working
…in the home, out of the home, everywhere it feels like. I’m working on decluttering (something that’s so hard for me) but feeling so good about all that I’m getting rid of. Outside of the home, I always forget how busy December is with graduation and all of our holiday celebrations. Many departments are winding down, and I feel like we are just getting started!
Hoping
…for good news in 2017. I’m not kidding when I mentioned this month has been difficult (case in point, we had to deal with a flat tire this evening. Not what we were planning on doing tonight.)
