Catching up and Currently… {February 2019}
Four weeks. That’s how long at least one – if not all four – of my family members has been sick. One official case of the flu, followed by two confirmed cases of ear infections, a sinus infection and some nasty virus and bronchitis. At one point, all four family members were on antibiotics.
Of course I was last to be hit by the sickness. I’m a little grateful for that, so I don’t have to care too much for the others around me, but this cold and flu season has been brutal.
Let’s catch up now, ok?
Fitness…Before all of the sickness, I was actually getting into a good routine of working out before work. For two weeks, most of my exercise was taking place at 5:30am and I felt good about that. I’m hoping to restart that habit later this week. I’ve signed up for one half marathon and I’d love to do two this year. Of course I had those same thoughts last year, and I completed zero. I’m going to remain positive about 2019. 🙂
Thinking about…My dad turned 65 last weekend. Because of all of the sickness (in addition to his own health issues), we were not able to celebrate with him, but hopefully soon. We’ll just focus on these photos from our visit in November.
Listening…When I bought my car, I thought I was going to need a CD player. My old car had one, but it stopped working years ago and I have soooo many CDs (I’m that person who still buys CDs from some of my favorite artists!) Well, my Kia Soul doesn’t have a CD player, but it does have Sirius radio and I never realized how much I would love satellite radio. Playing songs from the 1990s and early 2000s whenever I want? I feel like I’m back in high school and college. It’s the best. I’m debating keeping the subscription when the trial runs out, but oh how I love it!
Planning…summer vacations! My husband wants to do a trip just the two of us, and there’s a chance that just might happen. In the mean time, I’m planning and maybe dreaming a bit. 🙂
Watching…surprisingly not much. Even with all of the sickness, I’ve mostly slept. This weekend I did watch Sliding Doors on Netflix. I loved that movie back in the 90s, and it’s still good!
Purging…all the things. I’ve let go of craft supplies and clothes. So many clothes. Thankfully Wee Trade began this weekend so the kids clothes had a place to go. I’ve already made a good amount of money (more than what I spent on my daughter’s summer wardrobe!) And I have some items listed on Kidizen if you’re in the market.
How’s your month going? Now that I’m starting to feel better, I hope I can really take advantage of the warmer weather in our area!
