2017. It feels like it came quickly!

Currently listening to silence in my house. Both children are napping, and I have just a few hours left of my Christmas break. (I’m pretty sad to have to go back to work tomorrow. I was really getting used to not working.)

ReadingThe Magnolia Story by Joanna and Chip Gaines. I love watching Fixer Upper when I have a chance (usually on the treadmill at the gym) and I received this book for Christmas. A real book! Not just on my Kindle!

Watching…The Mindy Project (and the HGTV app when I’m at the gym.) For some reason I thought I’d watched all of the last season of The Mindy Project when I was on maternity leave, but I missed several episodes (the horror!) And I’m now into the first two episodes of the latest season. I do love the show, but I’m to the point where I wouldn’t mind it if Danny was written out.

Planning…all of our meals for the week! I went grocery shopping today, which is no easy task with two kids. Thankfully my mom was along for the adventure.  I have two slow cooker meals (one go-to meal and one that’s new for us) this week, and I’m hoping that helps us ease back into working.

Also planning…my 2017 goals. I love setting new goals. I’m working on blog goals and life goals. My fitness goals will be revealed soon (they’re attainable, and I’ve been working on them for a while.)

Reflecting…on the past few weeks. I have so many photos to share! Don’t be surprised if I’m sharing Christmas photos in February. I still haven’t shared my Disney photos from October!

How is the new year treating you?

  1. We’re doing very well so far! The kids started back on some of their regular activities today, but the rest of this week is pretty relaxed.
