July is almost over and despite fighting the war on yellow jackets and fixing all major things in our house, I’ve been doing a little more. I’ve been reading new books, listening to great music, watching fabulous kids…this month has had its downs, but it’s been overall fairly good to us.
I am currently…..
Reading…..Falling by Jane Green. This book came out last week and I started reading it over the weekend. It’s been a fairly easy book to read. I’m about halfway through and it was really easy to get hooked on the characters. (Some of her books can be a little slower to get into. I don’t feel that with Falling.)
Listening….to Joshua Radin. I bought his live album forever ago (forever being maybe two months?) And I’ve been listening to it at work. We saw Joshua Radin perform in Asheville in June and he was fantastic. I normally see him with a band, but it was a solo acoustic show.
Watching….my boy play and the baby learn new things every day. Honestly, I haven’t been watching much television this summer.
Running….short distances. There’s a 5k next month that I’m interested in, but I honestly don’t know if I have it in me to run that distance yet. Especially at a faster pace. We are going to sign up for the kid’s Fun Run, though, because I think my son would love it.
Planning….a weekend trip out of town with the family. I’ve booked a condo. We aren’t going to a beach (oh how I miss that this summer), but it’s going to hopefully be fun and what we need after this summer was derailed by life.
Designing….my son’s fifth birthday party “stuff”! I’m working on an invitation (because I can’t find anything I love – even on Etsy) and will be sharing printables in late August! I can’t believe that he will be 5.
Learning….all about Snapchat. Are you on Snapchat? I don’t use it as much as other platforms, but it’s kind of fun! Find me there at jaime.mckee
Eating….more whole foods. Less processed stuff. And I’m finally losing weight. (Last week was kind of a wash since we didn’t have a refrigerator, but we’re back to the land of the refrigerated food, and all is good.)
Some of the links in this post are affiliate links. I highly recommend the book and the album.
Linking up for Marvelous Monday today!
