Time is flying and I’m thankful to have a couple of days off for spring break. I initially had all types of plans for my time off, but I’m definitely scaling back as I realize I can’t do everything and maintain sanity.

I’ve been watching the HGTV app when I run on the treadmill. (If I’m at work, the wifi doesn’t work great for streaming in our fitness center, so I actually will read my Kindle there.) I have so many dreams for our house, which is why I think I love HGTV so much.

Reading…months of magazines that I’m behind on. Oh, and Shannon Stacey released a new book a couple of weeks ago. I read it in a weekend. “What It Takes” is part of the Kowalski series and while it wasn’t my favorite of the series, I still loved seeing where she went with all of past characters.

Running…more consistently! I’m running a 5-mile race with my husband this coming weekend, so I’m hoping that I can handle it! I’ve run 5 miles a couple of times, but I haven’t raced in well over a year.

Wishing…I was back at the beach. I went to Isle of Palms, SC for a work conference last week (and stayed in an amazing beach house.) It was a good conference and our downtime was wonderful.

Working…on our taxes. At least I’ve started them. My biggest problem is I switched laptops in December, and a lot of my tracking is obviously on the old laptop (which is on its last legs.) There was a lot of back and forth, and I think I’m still missing one spreadsheet. Ugh.

Dreaming…of summer vacation. I really want to go on a trip with the family, but I don’t now if it’s in our budget. The husband and I also keep throwing around the Bahamas this weekend. Not sure if it’s the snow or our 10-year anniversary coming up this fall that’s making us think of the Bahamas. Either way, I want to get out of town. And go to a beach. Somewhere.

Eating…more whole foods. I decided to follow the 21-day fix plan again and see how it goes. It worked for me over the summer, and since I’m going to be cutting back on nursing sooner rather than later, I think it can work again. (Once the baby turns 1, I’m going to try to cut out at least one or two nursing sessions. I have enough of a frozen milk stash that she’ll be fine for a while and not have to drink cow’s milk yet.)

Exercising…and while I’m on the subject of 21-day fix, I’m also doing the workout plan. Just one weekend down and my body is SORE. Since I’m not using a trainer right now, I need something to get me using more weights. 21-Day Fix incorporates light weights and I can increase them as needed.

Planning…as much as possible! My planner stays pretty full and now I’m working on birthday party ideas for both kids. (My son – at the moment – wants a Ninja Turtle party in August, so I’m trying to gather supplies now. Or at least, I can add the items to my Amazon wish list.)

What are you up to this month? Have you made summer vacation plans yet?
