Thankful Thursday: cats and modern medicine #NaBloPoMo #30DaysOfThanks
I be you had no idea how I was going to combine cats and modern medicine in my post, did you? Well, they happen to be two things I’m thankful for this week. And since I didn’t do a daily gratitude post yesterday, you get a double whammy today. (Also, my cat was super comforting while I was taking meds last week, so I guess they are linked forever and ever.)
Day 5: I’m thankful for my cat. She’s the best. Last week she comforted me while I was sick, and she always seems to know when I need her around. (Sometimes she forces herself into my space, but that’s ok.) I’m really glad that my husband wanted to “just go and look” at cats five years ago, otherwise she may not have come home with us.
Day 6: I’m grateful for modern medicine. My husband had LASIK this week, and it’s just amazing what doctors are able to do. (Granted, he spent the day asleep, recovering, and I’m wondering as I type this if I should try to wake him….I won’t, because I know he’s recovering.) And on that note, I’m thankful for the meds that are helping him sleep, and the meds that helped me (mostly) get well from bronchitis last week.
What are you thankful for this week? (This post is part of my NaBloPoMo challenge and 30 Days of Thanks, combined into one.)
So glad you are finally starting to get on the mends! Hope the hubs is recovering well too!
What a beautiful cat!! And yes, modern medicine is a great thing to be thankful for. I’ve always thought about getting LASIK but can’t bring myself to do it. Maybe someday! Glad you’re feeling better.
I love our cats, they came to us from a visit to a pet food store and we could not leave without them. They are the best medicine!
I’m glad you’re recovering! There’s nothing like a good cat to help the healing process along.
Aw, I love that animals can sense when we need some extra cuddling. Hope you feel better!
I’m thankful for family and love. Those are the two things that have really got me through this week!
Is your husband happy with the LASIK results? My husband keeps talking about having it done & eventually he’s going to.
Your cat is gorgeous! I am always thankful for my pets. It’s been a really rough week for me. So right now I am thankful for my mom who is going to watch my dogs Friday and Saturday so hubs and I can go out of town to celebrate our anniversary.
This week, I’m thankful for my family, both literal and figurative. I have such a wonderful, supportive husband, and my blog community family is wonderful as well. I’m a happy girl!
I’m always thankful for my family and for having a nice home and great friends.
What a gorgeous kitty! I’ve never gone a day in my life without one in my home they are wonderful! Glad you are feeling better!
My husband had Lasik last year and he said it was the best thing he did in a long time. I am not sure it will work for me with my issues.
I am thankful for many things but mostly for my family. I am so thankful that my parents are still both with us and that they are happy and healthy and for the good years that I have experienced life with them.
I’m thankful for my wonderful workplace this week. Such amazing coworkers all working together to bring the best comprehensive care to our patients š
I am thankful that ssi is being dealt with and we got some backpament of money we were suppose to get and the rest of it will follow and I don’t have to seek help for Christmas. I am thankful that the crazy neighbor finally got their eviction notice 30 days and there will be less dramma here in my apartment complex.
Cats and modern medicine, both good topics. š Glad you’re feeling better and I Hope your husband is up and running soon. Seems Lasik has a decent recovery time associated with it. š
Your cat is so pretty! I wish we could have cats where we live.
Your cat is so pretty! I have to say a big amen to the modern medicine. I was sick for a few weeks and I couldn’t quite kick it because I can’t take anything because I’m pregnant. Made me appreciate medicine in a whole new way.
Awwww, you have a sweet kitty there. Great companion to have.
I love the I am Thankful blog posts, it’s refreshing seeing everyone being so grateful š
Cute cat! I’ve always been curious about LASIK but too scared! lol I’m thankful for my family that help me in my hard times!
I am really a dog person, never really been a fan of cats. But I have to say she is absolutely beautiful. What a pretty girl!
I’m very thankful for my family. Without them and their support I won’t be here right now.
That is such an adorable cat. What a sweet cuddler.
Don’t you love it when our lovely pet does the comforting for us – I appreciate them for it each and every time!
