dear 2011, please slow down.

I need this year to slow down just a little bit. I’m not quite ready for the summer to fly by.

Take June, for instance. We have our first (of at least four) baby shower tomorrow. And we’re less than three months away from McLittle joining this family.

Next week we have the Mumford & Sons concert. The tickets were purchased a few months ago, and it seemed like foreverrrr away. And now it’s here. On Thursday, we have my husband’s movie to watch (every summer now, he films a movie with friends, so it isn’t really “his” movie, but one that he’s in.) That movie signifies the end of the school year. It’s mostly teachers that gather to watch it.

I have another show to attend next Friday night, and there’s something happening on Saturday. I just wish I could remember what it was.

The next week is Father’s Day, and some training that the husband is involved in. I’m able to attend the Type-A conference for a day (the business portion) and then we fly to New York for a wedding. A wedding I’ve known about since last fall, and I can’t believe it’s three weeks away!

Then we hit July (which brings two more baby showers, an Elvis Costello concert, and Bele Chere.)

I’m so not ready.
