Homeopathic relief to help your body in a natural way

Despite celebrating the holidays with only my immediate family (the same way we’ve spent the past 10 months), overindulging on various foods for several weeks was still common. There are downsides to overindulging – for me, at least. I tend to just feel gross and heartburn becomes a real problem when I eat too many not-super healthy foods.
The only other times I ever got heartburn was when I was pregnant (both times!) For real, I would get heartburn when I drank water and it was the worst.
I know there are quick remedies for heartburn, gas relief and other not-fun ailments, but I’d rather go a more natural way when treating my overindulgent self.

I was recently able to try Acidil Meltaway Tablets from Boiron. These are a homeopathic tablet that help ease acid indigestion and upset stomach. I was also sent Gasalia which relieves bloating, pressure pain and discomfort. What I love about these products from Boiron is that they are plant-based and have no known drug interactions. Not that I’m on many medications (I only take a daily allergy tablet in addition to multivitamins on the regular), but it’s nice to know that these shouldn’t have any interactions.
They are unflavored meltaway tablets – another bonus in my opinion. And they can be taken every 15 minutes for one hour after symptoms start. If you feel it’s necessary, you can even take them 15 minutes before eating a meal, just to get ahead of any symptoms.
My treat of choice the past month has been root beer floats. And I prefer to have them after my kids go to bed (it means more ice cream for mom. Don’t judge me.) In fact, I did let my kids try them and while my son liked the float, my daughter reminded me that she doesn’t like beer. 😉 Turns out, she really don’t enjoy root beer.
Indulging on these nightly hasn’t done great things for me, and I’m glad that I have some relief before I try to go to bed. Nobody wants to be awake all night because of poor choices – especially if the choice was to have a root beer float or no float.
So I’m here to tell you to enjoy your evening treats or the large holiday dinner – and maybe check to be sure you have a package of Acidil in your medicine cabinet for later.
