doing nothing?
I’ve told several people this week that I was doing nothing this weekend. And that was usually followed by the question, “What exactly will you do when you do nothing?” What I really meant was that we had nothing planned. Except, of course, running this morning.
Doing nothing means that I get to:
Run when I feel like it, and split it into separate sessions if I need to.
Take a longgg bath while reading Women’s Health from last month. I’m a little behind on my magazines.
Start watching ‘Desperate Housewives’ season 1 (husband has never watched the show, I bought season 1 for $16 and he has agreed to sit through it.)
Take a nap at 1 p.m.
Wake up at 3:30 to continue the day.
Grocery shop on Saturday, instead of Sunday when I feel like I’m cramming it all in.
Make lunch AND dinner. And dinner didn’t even get served until 8 p.m.!
Watch more ‘Desperate Housewives’
Check the mail at 9 p.m., only to realize that my new Women’s Health arrived.
Read Real Simple magazine, since that arrived this week and I can’t allow another to arrive before I finish the first one. Three magazines in one weekend. Can I do it?
That’s just today. Tomorrow is another day and I’ll try to fit in some “real” chores, such as cleaning and working on a freelance site.
Until then, I have more mindless TV to watch and nothing to do.
