Y’all. I’m drained. Mentally and physically. And pretty soon my bank account will be drained.

I have to remember that I’m not 21, even though I’ve been acting that way this week with all of my travels.

I’ve seen Aslyn and Toby Lightman this week. (twice!) I hung out with Jane Green last night. And seriously hungout. We had real conversations (because there weren’t that many people at her book signing, and I forced Aileen to sit in the first row with me since some girls sat in the seats we wanted in the second row.)

Tonight I’m going to see Will Hoge, and the concert doesn’t start until 9 – he’ll probably go on after 10. And tomorrow, I’m co-hosting a yard sale. Lena’s got the real goods, and I’m just throwing random junk in from the garage.

That said, I’m wondering if I can somehow make $1000 from my yard sale to cover the air compressor in my car? Yep. It died this week. And while it doesn’t cost a full $1000, it will cost me $998.23. Seriously, that’s what the guy said when I mentioned spending a grand on my car. Never mind I threw down $192 yesterday for some other routine things. And I still need rear brakes. Obviously, my little old Saturn thinks I’m made of money.

I’m exhausted. And out of money. But having a lot of fun this week. I hope to get back to real blog posts soon (because Jane Green was really, really fabulous.)

I’m drained this week. I think I’m getting an ear infection, and the dizziness has been hitting me off and on all week. It’s annoying. Work hasn’t been loads of fun, either. I’m hoping today will be 100 times better than the other four days, but let me tell you…this week has sucked.

On the upside of things, I bought a Prada wallet on ebay last weekend, and it arrived last night. That made me happy 🙂 Kenny’s also been great this week – and angry with me about the work situation.

My freelance work is starting to pick up, and I’ve had several really creative spells over the last few days. I even came up with a cool design this morning – hope it pans out.

Let’s see, let’s see. OH, one day this week, when I had had a particularly BAD day, I received a message that my favorite artist Matt Nathanson is going to be in Greenville in January. Matt and I bonded years ago over Dawson’s Creek. Seriously. Conversation took place in Amos’ parking lot in Charlotte one cold night. It was awesome. Now, I get to see him again. Another good thing, musically, is Edwin McCain is coming back to Asheville!!! I was pretty bummed when his show at the Orange Peel was postponed earlier this month, but it worked out because Bain Mattox was in town, and I really heart Bain. SO, February equals Edwin.

Things are looking up for my musically-inclined side. Work? Here’s hoping that Friday is better than Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and especially Thursday.
