the end of summer
I love long weekends, but I hate that summer is coming to an end. Though, I do love fall.
Our friends Brandon and Betsey invited us out to their family’s house on Lake Lure. We gladly accepted the invitation and headed out there Saturday afternoon and came home this morning.
A few scenes of the lake, from the boat:
The monstrosity that sits on Lake Lure:
We ate dinner at a Mexican restaurant, which was actually in a couple of trailers. We had the fastest service ever…and the food was pretty great.
The evening boat ride involved beer and oreos:
Betsey took over driving (no drinking and driving, you know):
Our little group….and my attempt at using the self-timer on my camera. Sorry for the darkness and hazy photo:
If you like that house wait to you see most of them a Kiawah. I wish I could build just one floor of them to live in. Most are two story on top of a full story garage and some even have a third and don’t forget the guest house. They are sicking, but they pay my paycheck.
Great pics, Jaime! It looks like y’all had a fun time! š
The pics were great–I truly enjoyed them. You were practically in Merle’s backyard. The house looked almost as big as the lake… & Heather is right, the homes at Keowee are all like that.
