a fantastic kind of Saturday
I think I’ll do a list for today. It’s been a pretty great day. I mean, the weather has been outstanding (55 and sunny!) and I just wish every weekend could be this great.
–I woke up at a kind of early time (7ish) to go run with Suzanne. We managed to get in 4.3 miles within 45 minutes – lots of hills and it was pretty cold at the time (below 30), but a good run nonetheless.
–Raced home to shower and get dressed….and headed to a Weight Watchers meeting.
–WW meeting was great. I’m 12 pounds heavier than my wedding day. I have realized today just how much crap I eat on a normal basis, and how much more “stuff” I eat because I’m bored or just not paying attention. That changes. Today. No more putting it off.
–Hit the mall with the husband to have lunch at Chick-fil-A (I know, crazy. I was just at WW! But I did manage to get the grilled chicken sandwich on the wheat bun, and a fruit cup rather than fries. It was pretty healthy.)
–Did a little window shopping.
–Home so the husband could do the grocery shopping and I could walk the dogs.
–Got a call from friends who were stranded on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Changed my plans to get them.
–Got the dogs and played in the yard for an hour, brought them inside for a little bit (still acclimating the dogs and cat) and then took them on a walk. They’re exhausted after their two-hour adventure!
–Made dinner (it’s cooking.) Homemade pizza. (WW people – I managed to get it down to 3.5 points per slice for an 8 slice pizza. 4 points if you have pepperoni.)
And now we’re relaxing. We’re staying in tonight and most likely going to work around the house (and our yard which has mostly thawed out) tomorrow. I seriously love weekends like this. I wish they could happen every day.
it was a good Saturday! that’s pretty good for pizza…its crazy how many pts takeout pizza is!
good job on your run!
