financial Friday – the February edition
I failed at budgeting this month. I didn’t even start to budget. Granted, I was well under my normal goals for the month, so I shouldn’t complain.
We entertained a lot this month. I was out of work for a week (literally. I was unemployed for an entire week.) We’ve been to the pediatrician twice (unexpectedly) and to the vet (not-so-unexpectedly, but definitely not in my normal budget.) And I still had money left over.
That should tell me something. I apparently do a lot of unnecessary spending.
I have noticed that I haven’t made as many online purchases the past 6 or so weeks. And my Target trips have been limited.
So my goal for March…keep up the limited spending. We have a few trips we’re taking this summer and we need to save money for those. I also need a car sooner, rather than later. It’s time to get my finances really in order so we’re not taking out a loan.
My other goal? To hold myself a little more accountable. Starting…now.
Yay for still being under your spending limit, even if you didn’t budget as well as you could have. That’s pretty good going! š
