finished the race

We finished the half marathon. The husband ran it in 1:55, while I ran it in 2:14. A personal best for me, but not for him.

The weather forecast called for a 100% chance of heavy rain. Unfortunately, the forecast was correct and it started raining just before we started the race. It was also cooler than I had anticipated (under 60 degrees.) No hills, though I heard the winner of the half marathon was complaining about hills. (Seriously, these people should run in Asheville if they’re going to complain!)

We took before and after pics. There’s also a very blurry finishing picture of me that my dad shot. I promise to get them up later with a full race review.

The best commment I heard this morning was, “so this is what you do on the weekends, eh?” Made me smile 🙂
