Who here HASN’T seen a Julep ad on Facebook? Or even one of the sponsored posts that your friends “like”? I kept seeing them and finally in early July I succumbed to the Julep pressure. (The pictures are so pretty!)

I got my first box free with the code FREEBOX. I only paid shipping ($2.99) and I originally went with the one month plan.

The box arrived, and everything was just so cute. It took a couple of weeks before I tried one of the nail colors. I went with the blue. I tried it on a Saturday with no base coat or top coat and as of Wednesday, it was still perfect – not a chip. My normal go-to nail polishes have to be retouched just about once a day. (I’ve even painted them before making my 30-minute drive to work because I knew I could let them dry that way.)

When I first clicked over to their site, they had me do a style profile. They determined my style was the “It Girl” and after looking at the styles, I kind of agreed.

Without thinking another thing about it, my card was charged for the second month. I didn’t check to see what colors were being sent (I was busy, and I really had just forgotten about it.) I felt like the next three colors were a bit of a miss for me. And they’re a little more fall and winter-ish.

I tried the burgundy (Joyce) for a few days and actually really liked it. Then I tried the orange (Kirti) and LOVED it. I haven’t been daring enough to try the green yet.

So apparently, I’m kind of an “It Girl” when it comes to most of their nail colors.

(A couple of days post-application. My nails need more attention. I’m aware of this.)

I’m happy with the actual product. I just need to remember to check the colors before they’re mailed! In fact, I’m so happy with it, that I changed my subscription to the 3-month subscription. This month, I received notice when the boxes were going to be available to preview. You can log in, and check out the colors. If you don’t like all three, you’re able to swap one or all of them out with something else! (I actually switched two colors for this next box.)

I love nail polish. I’ve been experimenting with various colors this year and it’s been really fun. Painting my own nails forces me to take a break. You can’t clean when your nails are wet! And I like doing something that makes me feel a little more girly.

Tell me…have you signed up for a monthly subscription box yet? This was my first one and it’s so much fun!

**This is not a sponsored post. I did receive my first box free, but I wasn’t asked to post a review. The above links are referral links and if you sign up using one of my links, I’ll receive a credit to Julep. All opinions are my own.

  1. fun!! what does a month cost? I would love to do some monthly club but I don’t even spend anything on myself for those items on a normal basis, how could I justify doing it regularly in a club??

    1. One month is $24.99 and if you do the 3-month subscription it equals to $19.99. I started with the one month and after I loved the second month (two out of three), I called them and switched to the 3-month. I may not do it forever, but right now it’s a lot of fun to try new colors! (And I rarely buy crazy amounts of makeup or other products for myself!)

  2. Uh, me… runs away quickly! I had never seen this brand before. I buy nail polish monthly so I may have to look into this. If the colors don’t work for me, I know my girls will wear anything. 😉

  3. I have yet to sign up for a subscription box but I hear so much about them I will have to check them out! I LOVE nail polish, would love to try some new brands like this one!

  4. i haven’t tried julep, but totally would. several friends LOVE the brand i just keep forgetting to order some

  5. I’m an IT girl too! I just got the fall colors in the mail! I think Julep is awesome. I want to get rid of all my polishes and just refill my collection with Julep since I love them so much!

  6. I like the top set better. I like the matte looking finish as opposed to the sparkle. I agree about the second set seeming more fall-ish. I do like the green though. I think that is pretty fun and can’t wait to see how you like it once you try it.
