As a working mom of two kids, I know how tricky it can be to regain one’s fitness. There aren’t many options for fitness classes for moms in Asheville. Yes, there are workout classes. And yes, there are classes for women. But for moms of young kids, it can be tricky. Starting next month (January 2019), FIT4MOM® is opening in my hometown! FIT4MOM will offer fitness classes for moms in Asheville, and the classes range from Stroller Strides to Stroller Barre to Body Back Transformation (which is what I’m most interested in, but seriously wish I had been able to do Stroller Strides when my kids were smaller.)

FIT4MOM® – the nation’s largest wellness company with programs exclusively designed for moms – expands its presence with its newest location in Asheville, North Carolina. The business will be offering Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, and Body Back Transformation beginning in January at multiple locations across Asheville. With each month of 2019, FIT4MOM Asheville will be adding additional programs, classes, and locations. Owner Jessica H. Maurer will leading these fun stroller-based total body workouts along with online based programs for moms in all stages of motherhood. You are able to participate in each of the classes with or without a stroller and kid in tow.
Jessica H. Maurer’s career consists of teaching in collegiate, corporate, and private venues as a certified ACE personal trainer and AFAA group fitness instructor for over 15 years. Jessica has worked with clients of all abilities, time allowances, ages, and levels of enthusiasm. She prides herself in being able to help you reach your full potential. While she is a fitness professional, she does not focus on your physical capabilities, but rather your entire well-being. Jessica can promise at least one laugh per class.

About the programs:
Stroller Strides® is a functional, total-body conditioning workout designed for moms with (or without) kids in tow. Each 60-minute workout is comprised of strength training, cardio and core restoration, all while entertaining little ones activities and fun! Each Stroller Strides instructor is skilled to meet you where you are mentally and physically. You’ll leave class feeling connected, successful and energized! This class is all about self care in a supportive and encouraging environment (& inside where it is warm until late spring).
Stroller Barre® is a 60-minute cardio and strength interval class designed to improve posture, stability, and mobility. The workout combines moves inspired by barre, ballet, Pilates, fitness, and yoga to help you regain your posture and alignment and strengthen your body from the inside out! Stroller Barre will help you reconnect with your body, increase flexibility and develop the core strength needed for motherhood. This class will be indoors until late spring.
Body Back® Transformation is an 8-week result based journey. You will focus on your mind and body improving your overall health and well being. The experience includes two 60-minute high-intensity interval workouts (HIIT) per week designed to challenge, empower, and recharge you. Additionally, pre and post fitness assessments are completed allowing you to see your progress and celebrate your accomplishments. Nutrition guidance is provided to educate and guide you toward healthy eating habits. The program also includes supplemental online workouts, accountability, and support. This eight-week journey will reconnect you to your inner strength and encourage you to believe in personal transformation.

Additionally, play groups, community events, and Moms’ Nights Out will be added to the FIT4MOM Asheville schedule.
