The following is a sponsored post. As always, opinions are my own.
The older my kids get, and the more activities they take part in, the more my car is feeling like a taxi. Between the various appointments, school, preschool, sports (in some seasons), Scouts, and fun adventures, we are often on the go. When I bought my car just over a year ago, I made a commitment to myself to keep it clean and organized. I had to purchase a couple of extra items to keep things in place, but for the most part I can actually function!
The first thing I put on my seats were these seat covers that also act as storage. My daughter can’t reach hers, but she does have a habit of kicking my seat – so these keep the seat from getting dirty. My son keeps pens, paper, playing cards and little toys he picks up along the way over on his side of the car.
I didn’t realize how much I needed a holder for my car registration and insurance – until I had a holder for this information! This stays in the middle console of my car at all times, and the console can get pretty packed with stuff. Since the holder is fairly sturdy – and it closes – I can find my registration anytime I might need it. (And for what it’s worth, I need it about once a year when I’m getting my car inspected. Knock on wood, I don’t normally get pulled over, and I don’t have any other real reason to have it out!)
I don’t have a trunk organizer at the moment, but I used to have one in a previous car and I loved it. This one is inexpensive, and would be great for storing umbrellas or winter accessories. You could also store extra clothes for the kids in one of the sections. My old one had velcro on the bottom so it stuck in place, rather than sliding all over my trunk.
I’ve mentioned this before, but I really like having one of these foldable storage cubes in the back seat, between my kids seats. The cube can collect toys, coloring books, and random items the kids might drag into the car.
