Frankenstein bookmark craft tutorial

We are continuing on our quest to do cute and silly, not spooky, Halloween crafts. My kids are still on the young side, and one of them does NOT like to be scared. However, both of my kids love to make things (especially if the project involves paper) and they’re both pretty avid readers. Bookmarks are a must around here, so why not make them festive?

What you need to make a Frankenstein bookmark:

How to make this Frankenstein bookmark craft:

Step one – Select colored craft papers for the Frankenstein bookmark pattern. The template includes Frankenstein’s head, hair, bolts, jacket, and front part of the shirt, arms, sleeves, pants, and shoes. Trace and cut out the patterns.

Step two – Attach the sleeve cutouts on the arm cutouts.

Step three – Attach the hair cutout on the top side of the head cutout.

Step four – Use a gel pen or sharpie to draw the face of Frankenstein. Attach the bolt cutouts on both sides of the head, below the ears.

Step five – Attach the shirt cutout along the middle of the jacket cutout and attach the shoe cutouts on the
bottom side of the pants cutout.

Step six – Attach the jacket (upper body) with the pants (lower body) pattern.

Step seven – Attach the head pattern on the top side of the body (jacket), by slightly overlapping it from the
top.

Step eight – Attach the arm patterns on both sides of the body base by gluing about 1cm of the arms’ top ends.

Step nine – The rest of the arm parts should be glue free to keep them free from the body base pattern.

Step ten – To use the Frankenstein craft as a bookmark, simply slide a sheet between the arms and the body base.
