After weeks of hectic schedules, we finally have a free weekend. Our only obligation is a friend’s gourd gala on Sunday. (The gourd gala is now an annual event where friends gather at Laura’s to carve pumpkins. It’s quite the festivity.)
This has been another busy week. My husband had a training for three days, which wiped him out, I had an event on Thursday, and my normal Tuesday night ceramics. Add work to the schedule, and trying to keep the house in order (which I’m convinced is a full-time job), we are ready for a boring weekend.
Oh yeah, and Bill Clinton was in Asheville yesterday, which added to some of my work stress (trying to get things to work properly). I did manage to wander down to where he was speaking, since I missed the Clintons every time they campaigned in Asheville two years ago.
I’m almost hoping that we end up on the Blue Ridge Parkway this weekend to check out the colors. I know I need to run a few miles, but I’m not too worried about that. And I need to make sure the house is in order for family coming next weekend.
