Friday 5: Snow days and wellness
TGIF, friends! Seriously, I feel like the month has flown and we’ve been stuck in our house for most of it. Let’s recap the week, shall we?
Nobody breathe, but it appears we’ve made it an entire week without a fever in our house. We have not had a fever-free week since….October, maybe? My daughter has had pneumonia (something I’ve mentioned on Instagram and my personal Facebook page, but I think I’ve not mentioned on here) and my son has been getting over a double ear infection. But this is the week! No fevers!
It snowed on Tuesday night. I worked from home Wednesday and my daughter was able to get to daycare (a little late) on Thursday, but my son has been out of school since Wednesday – and he was off on Monday. My husband took today off (our son went with him to work yesterday) and I’m hoping next week everyone gets to go to school and daycare as planned!
Another thing I’ve not really mentioned, but we took our daughter out of her daycare center in mid-December. A number of things led to this decision, and she started an in-home daycare last week (for three days because she came down with a fever Wednesday night, and she was home Thursday and Friday as a result.) This week she has gone to daycare 3 days and she has not cried over it. I know she’d rather be home with me, but it’s such a relief to leave her with someone who she’s comfortable with and I know will love her as much as we do.
My baby turned 21 months old yesterday! She won’t sit for pictures, but that’s ok. She’s finally feeling better and it’s so fun to see her personality coming back!
And my boy is playing basketball beginning tomorrow. With a team and everything! This is the first time we’ve signed him up for a sport. He chose basketball and he’s actually pretty good about shooting a basketball into a regular (not lowered) hoop. I won’t be able to go to his practice tomorrow, but I’m hoping my husband can get a lot of fun pictures!
I hope you have had a great week!
