Friday 5: Walking it all out #Friday5

It’s been a while since I’ve updated with the little tidbits and this has been a crazy, busy, active week! So let’s get started with five things….

1 – I have hit over 10,000 steps every day except one day in the past week. Considering how little I was doing for months, I’m really excited about this. (And I really felt it the day I hit over 16,000 steps.) Now if the pounds would melt away….

2. I ran 2.7 miles last weekend with my friend Melissa! When I was driving home, I kept thinking I should have gone for the last 0.3 miles, but I was also feeling the heat and the pain from not running for so long. So 2.7 miles is quite the achievement!

3. Lucas started swim lessons again this week. It wasn’t our best class, but we’re hoping he’ll do well in a non-parent/child class. He’ll just be with the teacher. As we were getting out of the pool, he went underwater 3 times – on his own, and he wasn’t scared. I was so proud of him.

4. We’re finally selling one of our cars! I haven’t talked much about it, but we bought a used car back in April, since we needed more space. (Not a minivan.) We’ve had a lot of people say they were interested in our Honda Fit, and today we’re finally selling it. It’s a great car, but too small for our needs.

5. Our weekend is jam packed with parties, movies and fun. I have something going on every day next week. I didn’t realize my maternity leave was going to be so busy! Soon I’ll be going back to work, and I’m pretty upset about that fact. I just don’t feel like I’ve been out long enough (though I’m sure at least one person misses me in my job.)

He had a good time at summer camp! That’s dirt streaked down his face. And a ton of sweat.

I wasn’t able to take an official last day of school photo on his actual last day of school….so this will have to suffice.
