fun at the fair
This morning started with an early run. Ten miles with the Team and it felt GREAT. Way better than last week’s run.
After the morning run, we headed over to the fair. It’s the final weekend of the fair, and I don’t think that I’ve been there in five years (except the one time I worked it, and I was able to score free tickets for us.) So, around 11 a.m. we were off to our friend’s house to meet up before heading to the fair. It was fun….and exhausting….and expensive. One of our friends had his four boys there, and I can’t imagine how we would have been able to afford that. $5 for admission, $1 per ticket to ride the rides (and most rides took 4 tickets), the outrageous prices for food. The tickets for rides could have killed us, but lucky for our budget, I’m not into all of the rides.
So, a few pictures from the day……
A happy couple 🙂 Look! No braces!!
The cute rabbit from the magic show…
The goat at the petting zoo (he was picking up food that had been dropped on the ground)
The baby white tiger you could have your picture taken with – because we have so many tigers in the mountains of Western NC. (Keep in mind, this was the Mountain State Fair. I’m not sure where the tiger or the camels came into play.)
Turkey leg…this was one of the few things that Nancy HAD to have, and we found them pretty easily.
Funnel cake…
Fat and sassy….how I feel tonight
