We’re traveling this week and when we travel I like to search reviews of restaurants and activities of the cities we’re seeing for the first time. If I visit a restaurant or do an activity that I really enjoyed, I love to pass that information along to others. With the GetBeen app, I can do just that (and I have been sharing the love this week!)
Asheville is such a destination for tourists and locals. There are new restaurants opening all the time, and it’s hard to keep up with. When I want to check out a new restaurant, I tend to listen to reviews. Word of mouth is a powerful thing, and I do turn to online reviews if I don’t have any friends who have visited a place first.
With GetBeen, this is an even easier (and quick) process – to look up reviews, as well as leave your own. My comments have been short, but to the point. I even uploaded a picture and it took just a few seconds to connect.
Search “getbeen” in your app store to download the app. It was easy, and you can create your account via your Facebook login or email address (I went with my email address.) It was a very simple sign up process. You can then find friends on the app, but connecting social media channels. My Twitter and Instagram are also associated (my Facebook account just doesn’t want to connect for some reason – I’m working on that) and you can connect with users on those channels, and share your reviews to your social media – spreading the love even more.
We visited a special event at the Jacksonville Zoo last night and I shared a photo and a simple review of the event – and it took less than a minute to do the whole process.
I also love that you can look in your general area and see what has been reviewed around you. (Full disclosure, I’m staying with my parents and we’re on a military base, so it’s not like people have the easiest access to anything that is around me at the moment.)
