The old me is slowly returning.

I’ve spent a lot of time cleaning tonight, wrapping gifts, cooking (lots and lots of potatoes for tomorrow’s dinner) and most recently making gift tags.

You see, I have all of these bath salts I wanted to give as gifts for Christmas (and I have a ton more to make). I made them before the move and started putting them into smaller bottles tonight. I need to make so much more, and think I can do that on Thursday. This past weekend (in between concerts, video editing and sleeping) I came up with the idea to make gift tags. I got a super-cool stamp last month that has different sayings, several of which are “hand crafted” or “just for you, from…” kind of sayings. Very useful. I borrowed a tag punch from my mom, stamped the tags, added the holes (with a very nice tool from Martha Stewart called the “screw punch”) and I have these 5 tags in just a few minutes! In fact, it’s taken me longer to type this than it took to make the tags. Unfortunately for most people, I’ve already used the standard gift tags I got on clearance last year.

Fortunately for my blog readers, I had a camera on my desk and I took the photos:

My mom will be proud.

  1. You know…you honestly amaze me with all you do! When do you sleep? I just totally missed out on the craft gene. I cant make anything that I could give as gifts.

Sounds like you’re getting settled into the house and back into routines.

  2. Wait til you see my bottles of bath salts in all of their glory. I need to take a picture of those together this afternoon. The bottles are cute šŸ™‚

And in case you haven’t noticed…I don’t sleep. Ever.

  3. Ohhh is that it? Lack of sleep? Boy does that explain a lot (giggle)

    Yes post pics….please!

I have new ones on MySpace.
