For those of you who think you aren’t very crafty and maybe want to be a little more in touch with your cake-making or sewing side, Craftsy.com may just be the site for you.
For a while, I was obsessed with cake decorating. I intend on making my son’s birthday cake in just a couple of months, and I am hoping that the Modern Buttercream class will help me. I make a lot of cakes each year and they aren’t always the most level. This class is supposed to teach a person like myself how to cut, level and fill the cake layers – in addition to creating a smooth final layer of frosting.
And next up, the sewing class. I bought my sewing machine in January 2009. I’m almost ashamed to admit that it has never been cleaned (and it could use a good cleaning.) I’m hoping that Sewing Machine 911 can help me out and save me a trip to a professional for servicing.
