For those of you who think you aren’t very crafty and maybe want to be a little more in touch with your cake-making or sewing side, Craftsy.com may just be the site for you.
For a while, I was obsessed with cake decorating. I intend on making my son’s birthday cake in just a couple of months, and I am hoping that the Modern Buttercream class will help me. I make a lot of cakes each year and they aren’t always the most level. This class is supposed to teach a person like myself how to cut, level and fill the cake layers – in addition to creating a smooth final layer of frosting.
And next up, the sewing class. I bought my sewing machine in January 2009 after hours of researching and reading reviews about the best sewing machine brand. I’m almost ashamed to admit that it has never been cleaned (and it could use a good cleaning.) I’m hoping that Sewing Machine 911 can help me out and save me a trip to a professional for servicing.
